mentioned that there has been $4,000.00 contributed in David Swift’s memory.
IV. Discussion
of Old Business:
1. Jay Pitts after talking with his legal counsel about the sexual abuse situation notes that we should not send the letter out as it is wrote. You want those who lease their week to set the rules.
2. Jay also gave us an update on the camp promotion project. Some suggestions are to excite the youth groups and to ensure that there are jobs for them when they get to camp. Another was to update the camp, improve the basketball and volleyball courts. Jay would like to do this project. The cost would be no more than $500. Walt Evans would like a before and after camp letter sent to camp users. Mike Vincelli recommends that we buy the SBC.org domain for ten years

The caretaker position job was offered to Tom Christie.
Tom told Walt that he had to have reconstructive surgery and it was scheduled

5. There is $3,500 in the pool fund. Jay Pitts made a motion to buy one bench and note in the minutes that it is a memorial to David Swift. Mike Vincelli seconded the motion. All are in favor. Jay also made a motion to put the remaining money into the pool fund. Mike seconded the motion.
6. Jay Pitts gave an update on the stage project. There has been $1,500 donated for this project. It will take an additional $500 to do the project. Palo Cedro will donate the $500 needed to complete the stage. Mike Truitt will coordinate the stage project during opening weekend.
7. Next year we will move the camp starting dates back one week. (Camp will start one week later. example from June 10 to June 17.)
V. New Business.
1.
The USFS is planning a major underbrush thinning and
selective logging operation around the Canyondam area. Mike Vincelli has been
talking with the Mt Hood office-logging supervisor.
2. Mike also let us know that the USFS is planning a major logging operation that will be across our new spring water line. We need to walk with them and mark it out. All of these projects are due to the high fire danger in the area.
3. Spring Work Weekend will be May 27,28,29, and 30, 2005. Doug Hamilton has agreed to be the project supervisor.
4. Projects that need to be completed are:

Prepare the dining room floor for painting. Jay Pitts
will check with a contractor in
2. Check out the PA and fire alarm system. Mike Vincelli
3. Rake up the pine needles around the building.
4. Fix the septic system pumps and get the system working properly.
5. Consider doing some exploratory digging at the leach field distribution boxes.
6. Level the leach field ruts.
7. Hook up the electrical to the pool shower house. Roy Cates and Walt will run the conduit underground between the building and the shower house. Jack will connect the electrical lines.
8. Install a larger electrical panel. Mike Vincelli will check with PG&E about the availability of 400 Amp service.
9. Install longer screws along the eaves of the dining hall where they have come loose.
10. Remove some of the smaller dead trees. Leave for the USFS
11. Cut and split the logs for firewood.
12. Jay Pitts will make up three barrels for the drinking water fountains. Walt will contact Mark Kiser.
VI. Open Discussion.
1. Jay Pitts comments that we need to make a push to get all youth groups to opening work weekend at the camp.
2. Misha Evans suggests that we have a camp newsletter. We also need a historian a possible person would be Cheryl Smith.
